Banana Custard

First of all, I get all these yummy baby food recipes here, Whatever I have in my cupboards or fridge determines what I choose to make Noah. In this case it was bananas ... Really making baby food is SO easy and is not very time consuming at all, I suggest all you moms do it.. It's also great fun :) ...

This recipe is for Banana Custard, and Noah loved it. It also makes a good amount.

You can make it 2 different ways here. I chose to bake mine in the oven.

All you need is;

2 ripe bananas
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup milk or formula
pinch of ginger or cinnamon or nutmeg - you choose (I used cinnamon)

Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth but not runny and thin - or simply hand whip the ingredients together if you prefer.
Pour mixture into custard/ramekins and bake at 350F for approximately 20 minutes.
Check every 10 minutes as the time can vary depending on how thick/thin you made the mixture. (Mine cooked for 20 Minutes)
This will begin to split like a pumpkin or custard pie does when finished.
Test with a clean knife inserted into the center; it's done when the knife comes out clean.

This can also be made by scrambling in a frying pan on low heat, with a bit of olive oil.

Enjoy :)
