To start off, the night before the 4th (Sunday), a very close family friend, Charolette Keiss, came over to my parents to share her story of going through the holocaust. She thought it was an appropriate time to share with us, due to us celebrating our Freedom. It was an inspiring story that she lived through at just the age of 10. I was very grateful to her for having to revisit those horrible memories to help us remember how blessed we are to live in America, the land of the free. It will definitely be something I will never forget. Thank You Charolette.
The morning of the 4th, we started out our Day with a neighborhood breakfast at the park (my parents neighborhood). It was a lot of fun. They had a bike race, and Ali participated. Noah had fun playing at the park, and also getting to see his Aunt Michelle before she had to leave town.
Isn't that just the sweetest face.?
Later on in the afternoon we headed up to Las Palmas to swim. It's always been sort of a family tradition for the Flowers. Ever since I've known Beau, they would always get passes for the Summer. The part I love about this place, this year, is they have a kids pool, so it's a lot of fun for Noah.
On this particular swimming trip, Noah took his first dive under the water, and of course Daddy was the one watching him. Hopefully it will be the last, but he was a good sport.
We then had to hurry home and get ready for Errin's (my sisters) get together. They live up on the Dixie hill, so it was the perfect place to celebrate the 4th and watch fireworks. There was A LOT of yummy food and snacks, along with some great company. I wouldn't have spent my Holiday any other way. :)
Hope everyone else had a fabulous weekend and Happy 4th!
